Care instructions

High tech materials need the right care

One of the reasons why our unique products are so highly functional is that they are made of special high-tech materials. And in order to maintain the function of these materials for as long as possible, it is important that you care for them accordingly. No matter if you expose your sportswear to chlorine, UV light or rough rocks - with the care instructions listed here you can extend the life of your sportswear!

Staining and hand washing

Before wearing for the first time, it is advisable to machine wash all products individually. Only wash the same colours together and do not hand wash the garment. The small amount of water can easily cause discolouration. Just follow the care instructions on the label of each garment and wash only the same or similar colours together.

Do not leave clothes wet

Do not leave your sportswear wet, especially when sweaty. This can lead to discolouration.

Sunlight

Ultraviolet rays (sunlight) cause fluorescent colours (e.g. neon yellow) to fade over time. This process is natural and not a fault of the product.

Fapric softener & wash recommendation

Do not use fabric softeners on sportswear. These have the effect of reducing functions such as sweat transport, fast drying time, etc. Every washing process means mechanical stress for the textile. Please follow the individual instructions on the care label of your product. Turn the garment inside out before washing and only use liquid detergent. This will protect the surface of the fabric as well as any prints or reflective inserts. We recommend our CareTEX products because they are specially designed for our sportswear. This maintains the function and protects the textile.

Abrasion & Pilling

The softer and more comfortable a fabric is, the less robust it usually is. Therefore, avoid friction with straps or rough materials such as Velcro fasteners, etc. Depending on the product, a certain amount of abrasion can hardly be avoided. However, this does not affect the function. Mechanical stress is always within the customer's sphere of influence and is therefore not covered by the guarantee.

Products with elastane fabrics

Elastane (e.g. Lycra) is an elastic yarn that is processed in the fabric to improve the stretchability of the fabric. Especially chlorine, sweat or cream damage the spandex threads. With proper care, however, their life span is extended. Therefore, rinse the articles with clean water immediately after use in chlorinated water and after sports.

Teflon finish

Some products have a special Teflon finish. This repels water drops (rain) and dirt and improves the hydrodynamics (Tri Speed series). This finish washes out after repeated washing, but can be rebuilt by heat treatment (tumble dryer at low temperature or ironing at low temperature).

Care of gloves with leather insert

Should you ever need to clean the gloves, please use lukewarm water and a mild detergent. Please pay attention to the dosage of the detergent, as only a very small amount is needed for hand washing. Overdosing will not improve the condition, but will damage the materials. We recommend our CareTEX to preserve the material and maintain the function. Rinse the detergent well. Wrap the wet gloves in a dry towel and squeeze out the water. After this hand wash, allow the gloves to air dry. Never put the gloves on the heater or in the sun. When the glove is half dry, put it on and make a fist with your hand so that the original shape is restored. Once the gloves are dry, you can knead the leather and treat it with a leather care product.
