This backpack impresses with its sophisticated combination of light weight, practical features and excellent wearer comfort. The robust, water- and dirt-repellent functional material offers excellent protection against light precipitation and rough rock. A generous top-loader opening and a two-way zip on the front provide quick and easy access to the large main compartment, in which a separate zipped pocket or a large slip pocket can be found for storing personal items. A suspension system, a small opening to the outside and rubber straps on the right strap offer the option of integrating a hydration system. Additional storage space is provided by two elastic mesh pockets on the outer sides, a practical mesh pocket with zip on the left strap and a large lid pocket with zip and key clip. The lid pocket can be closed with the rip tape on the front and various materials, such as carabiners, can be attached. Attachment loops for skis and ice axes can be stowed away quickly and easily when not in use. An integrated rain cover, helmet clip and two length-adjustable rubber loops on the front are additional details that are easy and practical to use. A comfortable fit, even on longer tours, is ensured by the padded straps, an individually adjustable back panel and three large, soft-foam back pads. The load distribution and stability of the backpack can be further optimised with a height- and width-adjustable chest strap and the adjustable hip belt. A Recco® reflector and reflective logos on the backpack as well as on the rain cover increase personal safety. With its 1035 g, the Matona backpack weighs remarkably little, but still offers plenty of storage space and function for day tours where a lot of gear is needed, as well as on light multi-day tours. It is ideal for alpine mountain tours, hikes and ski tours, but can also be used for many other purposes.
